What is ozone?2021-07-28T12:09:15+00:00

Ozone (O3) is a form of oxygen, naturally occurring molecule made up of three atoms of Oxygen (O). Most ozone resides in the stratosphere, where it acts as a shield to protect Earth’s surface from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation. Ozone does occur naturally at a ground level as plants and soil release some. Some migrates down from the stratosphere as thunderstorm’s downdrafts carry ozone from higher altitudes to nose level.

TesHub products are inspired by nature and powered by science.

How is ozone formed?2021-07-30T10:34:50+00:00

In nature, ozone is formed mainly by sunlight or lightning, which causes an ordinary oxygen molecule (O2) to join with an unstable oxygen atom through corona discharge, electrolysis or ultraviolet radiation, becoming ozone (O3). Ozone comes in two forms – emitted into the air (gaseous) or water (aqueous). It occurs in nature but can also be man-made.

TesHub products are inspired by nature, by creating ozone in the same way that nature does during a thunderstorm – it is produced by modern electrical ozone generator where high voltage is passed across a gas stream or pushed into water.

What does ozone smell like?2021-07-28T12:10:50+00:00

Before the rain begins, as wind picks up and clouds roll, the sweet, sharp and fresh aroma fills the air. This is the smell of ozone – sometimes described as metallic or resembling chlorine, a burning wire or electrical spark. You can smell it as thunderstorm’s downdrafts carry O3 from higher altitudes to nose level. As ozone has a distinctive smell, humans can detect it even in very small concentrations.

TesHub products are inspired by nature, so you can smell ozone produced by our ozone generators – still small enough concentrations to be effective but healthy for you and environment.

What is the magic of ozone?2021-07-30T10:35:45+00:00

By nature, ozone is one of the strongest and fastest disinfectant and oxidizing agents. When ozone encounters pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites) that cause odors or illness, it reacts with them and changes their characteristics. The oxidation process does not contribute to antibiotic resistance, meaning ozone will keep effectively working without the pathogens outsmarting it! Ozone is 50 times more powerful and over 3000 times faster destroys pathogens than commonly used chlorine.
As ozone is a high-energy molecule, it decomposes rapidly (in 10-20 minutes) into simple oxygen and water, so there are no harmful residues to worry about.

TesHub products generate ozonated water by EORG technology that has tested efficiency of killing pathogens is 99.999% within a 5 second’s contact time.

Is ozone safe?2021-07-30T10:37:07+00:00

Like everything in life – safe and healthy is all about balancing right.

Ozone is a highly reactive substance, and uncontrolled exposure can lead to severe respiratory illnesses. However, man-made ozone can be created in controlled concentrations and forms when used as a means of sanitizing, disinfecting and cleansing, making it very safe.

No other active ingredients are added to ozone in our products, which means that using ozone leaves no potentially hazardous by-products remain when ozone is used. As ozone is a biodegradable substance, it degrades back into pure oxygen over time.

TesHub products are inspired by nature and with the help of science deliver it in the safest forms – very low but still effective concentrations, approved by OSHA* and NIOSH** and tested by the world’s leading labs.

* OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration (US)
** NIOSH – The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (US)

How does ozone purify the water?2021-07-30T10:48:05+00:00

Ozone has been used for purifying water since the early 1900s. As ozone has one of the highest oxidation potentials, it reacts with all kinds of pathogens, killing them immediately. Ozonation does not leave any distinctive smell or taste to water, unlike chlorine that is often used for the same purpose. Ozone kills all bacteria, algae and biofilm and there is no fear of pathogens developing resistance to ozone.

TesHub products contain ozone dissolved into water using EORG technology that allows purifying 1L of water in only 1 minute and eliminates 99,999% of the pathogens.

How does ozone sanitize, disinfect and cleanse?2021-07-30T10:47:50+00:00

When ozone comes in contact with a pathogen, it weakens the cell wall and causes its immediate death. This mechanism is very effective, making ozone a much better disinfectant than commonly used chlorine.

TesHub products use EORG technology which splits up water molecules to not only ozone, but also oxygen radicals. Oxygen radicals make oxidation potential of the solution even more effective – destroying the pathogens in 5 seconds’ contact time.

How is ozonated water better than other sanitizers and disinfectants?2021-07-30T10:38:54+00:00

Most sanitizers, disinfectants and cleaners use harmful chemicals, dyes, and perfumes. Many ingredients used in typical multi-purpose cleaners are known allergens and can cause irritation of the skin, eyes and respiratory systems, or even asthma.
Ozonated water is produced by using just regular tap water that is safe and even healthy for you and for environment.

TesHub products generate ozonated water by EORG technology that turns simple tap water into powerful sanitizer being kind to a skin and surfaces and finally decomposes back to water that is even safe to drink.

How does ozone clean the air?2021-07-30T10:41:58+00:00

Ozone is in the air around us all the time. It occurs naturally in the environment and is simply activated oxygen – think of the fresh smell following a thunderstorm and that’s ozone.

Odor problems originate from numerous sources including bacteria, moulds, smoking, chemical fumes, cooking and pets. Mould and fungus contamination is another major source of unpleasant odors and creates a musty, stale odor which can be both an annoyance and a health issue to those suffering from allergies or asthma. Ozone will neutralise virtually all organic odors, specifically those that contain carbon as their base element.

When ozone comes into contact with an odor a chemical reaction takes place and the odor oxidizes into a harmless, non-odorous substance. Unlike using an air freshener, ozone is not temporarily masking the smell, the odor really is permanently removed, as the molecules of the molecules causing the unpleasant smell are simply destroyed. Ozone is also more effective than air filtering systems because it also removes odors embedded into clothing, furniture and carpets.

Ozone decomposes to oxygen after being used so using ozone leaves no harmful residue.

TesHub products copy nature and deliver ozone in healthy and soft concentrations still powerful enough to clean the air from pathogens.

How does usage of ozone help to save the planet?2021-07-30T10:46:50+00:00

First and foremost, ozone kills pathogens, supporting a safe and healthy lifestyle. Ozone is also the most natural way to purify water with no residues. Acting as a powerful sanitizer, disinfectant, and cleaner, it has multiple uses from clening hands to different surfaces. It can be used anywhere from homes to the horti- and agriculture industry.
Ozone can successfully replace chlorine, pesticides, fertilisers and other chemical compounds being used to tackle our everyday issues. As ozone can be produced on-site and on-demand, there is no fear of overproduction and the environmental footprint is reduced.
Ozone does not create any pollutants or residues – the only ‘breakdown’ product is oxygen.

TesHub products consume little energy and use just tap water to generate powerful sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleansing solution. It is chemical-free and replaces many other harmful products. It has multi-purpose and multi-use functionality. Last but not least, TesHub products are made from recycled plastics and are reusable.
